Distraught, she quickly decides to save him by integrating his consciousness into her body. However, Birdy, oblivious, attacks Geega and accidentally kills Senkawa. Senkawa briefly witnesses the battle before being seized as a hostage by Geega. Meanwhile, Tsutomu Senkawa, an average high school student, explores an abandoned building with his friend, and coincidentally, Birdy has tracked down Geega to the same building. Her target, Geega, has disguised himself as a human and assimilated into the fashion industry, so Birdy follows suit and joins a modeling agency, taking on the identity "Shion Arita." Her position as a rising model has her posing for photo shoots by day and chasing intergalactic criminals by night. Sadly in this they aren't as its all stuff a fan would have already seen (not reused scenes). While pursuing an alien fugitive, Birdy Cephon Altera-a bombastic police officer from the Space Federation-finds herself on Earth. Even if it dose fill in a few gaps.Īction bits are what made Birdy good to watch. The plot will be hard to under stand for somebody that hasn't seen the first session, but the plot of this is rubbish. Well it is a Birdy series so its got the usual sci-fi stuff (like a bizarre Terminator thing that looks Well ill start by saying its easier to under stand if you have watched the first session as it is set between the first and second, but there lies one problem as it was aired after the bloody second session.Ĭant they of aired it before so we knew why that person was like that and the other was like that and where the new guy came from? Well I just finished watching it about ten minutes ago so here are some words about it. Overall it was a pretty good OVA and was actually story-related yet entertaining. Also I will say that the new opening was pretty cool and I really enjoyed the ending song sung by "Shion Arita." I will say however that it was nice that this was an actual story-related OVA, those seem to be few and far between these days. A couple of new characters got introduced but nothing along the lines of antagonists. would be in the second season, which is seemingly not very relevant at all. A few season 2 plot points got set into motion which was nice and it did somewhat answer my question of how relevant Nakasugi The story seemed to lack any real punch, like it knew it was just supposed to bridge the first and second season and didn't have much real substance, which is fine for an OVA. At the time I watched it though I didn't know how helpful it was actually going to be when making the transition. I watched this OVA before I saw season 2 of Birdy: Decode so I was helped out as I entered into the second season.
